The Islamic Center at New York University
and the Arabic and Islamic Studies Institute is happy to announce
their Spring term of Arabic classes. The classes are divided into
sequential levels of achievement, and the classes being offered this
Spring are Beginning 1 (no previous knowledge of Arabic required)
through Intermediate 3 (includes Arabic
grammar (text is in Arabic), reading, writing, etc. Some rules of
Tajweed are given in all of the classes.
The classes are held at New York University’s Thompson Center,
either in the Islamic Center Room (2nd Floor) or the Basement
classroom. The building is located at 238 Thompson Street, between W. 3rd
Street and Washington Square Park South, in Manhattan (A, D F, trains to
W. 4th Street, R, N to 8th Street, #6 to Astor
Place).
The Spring terms begins this coming Saturday, April 7 and runs through
June 9. The following is a schedule of the classes being offered this
Spring, Insha Allah:
Beginning 1. Mondays, 6-9 pm, Islamic Center Room, begins April 9
Beginning 2. Tuesdays, 6-9 pm, Basement Classroom, begins April 10
Intermediate 1. Saturdays, 1-4 pm, Islamic Center, begins April 7
Intermediate 2.Wednesdays, 6-9 pm, Islamic Center, begins April 11
Intermediate 3.Saturdays, 9am-12, Islamic Center, begins April 7
All classes runs for ten weeks and the tuition is
$100.00 per course plus the textbook fee. For more information and to
